My Story

On the 11th January 2025, my mum sadly passed away following a 2 year battle with breast cancer. As a result, I wanted to do something to support the fight against cancer and help others in the fight with this cruel illness and so, landed upon the idea of ‘running’ (insert sigh).I am expecting the training and half marathon itself to be extremely challenging, and find even the idea of it rather daunting, especially given that i could count the times i have gone running on one hand, however I am up for the challenge!

To be honest, i’m not an avid runner under any circumstances, and to say I haven’t murmured the words ‘stupid’ ‘dumb’ ‘boring’ ‘despise’ etc. in the past whilst in reference to the activity would be a tad bit of a lie, as those words have indefinitely exited my mouth. However, due to the circumstances, I have decided to put my strong opinions on running to aside, in order to raise money in defence of this awful illness, in hopes that one day no one will have lose the cruel battle against cancer. In memory of loving, kind mum Caroline; gone too soon.

Appreciate you all as always,
